Distrect of khotang
With the deriving of name of anything have special history , khotang does not lag in its hitory. As we know khotang consists of rais mostly in past and futare both. So, among surnname of 'chamiling rai' one is 'khotohonchha'. In past time ,there was mostly existence or reing of those gropuse so, they used to tell their terrirory 'khotang'. Later, it became 'khotang'. But, in realty, its was included in contitution in 2019 B.S. It lies on east of capita city kathmandau.
When we more east passing through Bhaktapur karre palanchowk, Ramechhap and okhaldhunga there comes khotang. It lites on 26°50'N,27°28'N and 8626'E, 86 59'E. Bhojpur, Udayapur lies on east of khotang , Okhaldhunga in west and Solukhumbu in north. It's total area is 159159k.m. It has 56.24% forcst, 42.09 cultivable land.
The physical diversity is al so one of the most eminent featare of Khotang .Forest, Bensi, george are entire Khotang. sinceit ties on 152m. to 3600m. from the sea level so, according to that paddy, millet, maige must ard, wheat, patato, fruits and vegetables. This district also grows tea, coffee, cardamom. medical herbs, fruits, vegatable. This district has sail simel, khauar etc.
The aimals like tiger beer leopard ghorl deer porcu pine jackal monkey snake lizard pyton etc plays on the forest of Khotang. Parrod Kalig Koili Dove crow eagle owl etc flty freely in the sky and enjoys forest Khotang.
This district mostly bare lime stome haleshi sida is where most lime stone is found .It has many rivers like Sun koshi, Dudhkoshi, Rawakhola, Tapkhola Sapsukhola etc.the total population of Khotang is 2,31,385.male population is 1,12,821 and female population is 1,18,564. The active population is 54% the district consists Brahmin, Chhetri, Tamang, Magar , Rai , Majhji, Shrpa, Sunuwar, Newar, According to the census of 2001A.P:-60.54% of hindus, 32.61% krants, 5.70%Buddhist, 0.90% Christ run, lslam 0.03, Bahi, 0.01%, Sikn, 0.1, then 0.20%.
